Air Liquide's Board of Directors, chaired by Benoît Potier, Chairman and CEO, met on 1st August 2008 and reviewed financial statements for the first half of 2008.

1st half 2008 Group revenue reached €6,370 million, up +13.2% on the previous year (+16.7% at constant exchange rates).

The Group's 1st half growth includes a record second quarter for the Gas & Services activity up +9.9% comparable, after continuous acceleration in 2007 and a high level in the 1st quarter 2008. This growth results from a combination of strong demand for hydrogen and ramp-ups of new units in Large Industries in Europe and Asia, very good progress in Industrial Merchant, a Healthcare business which continued to show strong growth, and sustained sales in Electronics, following several quarters of outstanding growth.

C.R. England aquires Dynalink Systems, Inc.

Convergence of Domestic Transportation and Global Freight Forwarding SALT LAKE CITY, UT (January 1, 2008) - Los Angeles-based Dynalink Systems, Inc. recently announced the merging of their business with Salt Lake City-based England Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of C.R. England, Inc. Effective January 1, 2008, Dynalink has become part of the C.R. England family of companies.

Dynalink is a global third party logistics company specializing in supply chain management and International Ocean and Air forwarding, along with other logistics services. "We have looked to international opportunities, particularly in China, as an engine that will fuel growth in the U.S.," said Sean Snow, President of England Logistics. "By moving upstream into China, we will be able to ensure that we control freight flows from origin to destination."

Invisible Employment Histories

Sometimes the facts are there but the wrong conclusion is drawn. It's happened to two of our driver members in the past month. I'll summarize the scenario.

The driver has applied for a job with company ABC. The company refused to hire the driver. The driver asks why and is told "your DAC shows two accidents with past employer XYZ."

So, we have obtained the "DAC report" on behalf of the driver, and.the DAC report did not contain any employment history-let alone accidents-from company XYZ.
