No End in Sight...

            No End in Sight......to these high diesel prices.  While prices have fallen back slightly over the last couple of weeks, the weekly retail on-highway diesel price was $3.325 for the week of December 10.  That's still more than 70 cents high per gallon than during the same period one year ago.

            The highest prices nationally were found in New England, where the weekly rate averaged out at a whopping $3.57 per gallon.  In the Central Atlantic, the rate was $3.514.  Other high prices were found in California which was at $3.455, and the West Coast in general at $3.440.

            The lowest prices, if any could be called "low" were found in the Gulf Coast region, where the average per gallon price was $3.265.  In other regions, prices were as follows: Lower Atlantic, $3.293, Midwest, $3.276, and Rocky Mountains, $3.397.
