More Drivers Using Seat Belts

12/28/07
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance says during its annual roadside inspections for driver safety, there were far fewer drivers not wearing seat belts.  After conducting more than 62,000 inspections during a three-day period using about 8,000 officers, the number of infractions was 829.  The prior year there were 1,223 infractions.

The CVSA checks all types of commercial vehicles including commercial trucks and buses, but said most of those stopped for the inspections were trucks.
